Job Description:

The candidate must possess a solid understanding of solar PV plant designing concepts for both the DC and AC sides. Key responsibilities include:

Solar Plant Design: Independently perform energy yield calculations for solar plants using simulation software like PVSyst.

Technical Layouts: Develop detailed DC & AC SLDs, PV array layouts, DC & AC cable routing layouts, earthing layouts, lightning protection layouts, lighting layouts, and equipment layouts for inverter stations and main control rooms.

Electrical Calculations: Perform calculations for DC string cables and power, AC cable sizing, lightning protection, earthing, UPS, and battery sizing.

Specifications: Prepare technical specifications for system/equipment of solar PV plants.

Vendor Reviews: Review vendor drawings for transformers, inverters, PV panels, AC & DC cables, LT & HT switchgear, SMB, and more.

Standards: Ensure designs comply with national and international standards such as IS, IEC, IEEE, etc.

The role requires comprehensive knowledge in all aspects of solar PV electrical design and calculations.
