Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Chemical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the implementation, analysis, and improvement of processes and equipment within our organization’s plants. As a Chemical Engineer, your responsibilities will encompass conducting research studies, designing innovative solutions, and overseeing the seamless implementation and troubleshooting of various procedures.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the plant operations heads to identify opportunities for enhancement in our plants. Your primary focus will be on improving efficiency and ensuring a safe working environment. Your expertise and technical knowledge will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective plans that optimize our production processes.
Responsibilities
Develop manufacturing processes that minimize waste and increase the quality of finished products
Monitor and test processes and products found in all phases of production
Develop and implement safety procedures for staff working with hazardous materials
Design, plan and implement the layout of manufacturing equipment to optimize production and decrease costs
Establish safety and waste management procedures
Travel to work sites and locations to learn about project needs and design
Assist with establishing budgets and timelines
Designing, proposing, implementing, reviewing and correcting plans to ensure company goals are achieved
Observing production processes, conducting research and finding ways to increase efficiency and quality
Using scientific, mathematical and engineering principles to solve problems and improve processes
Evaluating equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Troubleshooting problems in manufacturing processes
Recommending new installations or modifications in the plant processes / equipment to improve operational efficiency
Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines and within financial budgets
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Chemical Process Engineer
Ability to cooperate and communicate with others, especially those without a technical background
Exceptional problem solving, verbal and written communication, presentation and project management skills
Relevant training and/or certifications as a Chemical Engineer
Applied knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques
Direct experience with the use of spreadsheet and database software to compile, analyze, and present data
Ability to execute tasks with minimal oversight
Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
Educational Qualifications:
B.Tech / M.Tech Degree in chemical engineering.
Min 10 years of experience in a Process Engineering / Technical Services
Project management experience.
